Large file support - Mac&PC Data

We're trying to burn large (8 GB or so uncompressed HD Quicktime) files to DVD+R DL discs with (currently) Toast 7.02 (I haven't tested it with 7.1 yet). Toast is set to Data mode, Mac+PC. The Mac writes them fine, and reads them fine. However, when you try to take them to a PC, the files are truncated at 2GB. However, if you bypass Toast, and burn the disc using the OSX (10.4.6) Finder, the files are fine Mac and PC. Is this fixed in 7.1?

It's not a Toast bug. You could try burning the file in UDF format in Toast and see if the PC likes it. The finder burns HFS+/ISO/UDF hybrid discs. Toast burns HFS+/ISO hybrid. The PC doesn't really like files over 2 GB on a disc.

If you use UDF format in Toast, it may work.
