I Really Need Some Help..

Hello..

 

I just upgraded from Roxio 2010 Creator to Roxio 2011 Creator Pro. Everything seems fine with the basics but they said that there were additional programs that came with the purchase. Specifically the SmartSound Sonicfire® Pro and the BIAS SoundSoap™ SE. After downloading on line and following all the instructions I am unable to find them to use them. I did go back and tried to download them specifically as they have different key numbers in the e mail Roxio sent me but I could not get connected as they said I had used up my downloads which I do nor recall doing.

 

You guys on here have helped me emensly a time before and I have faith that someone knows the answer. I would really appreciate your help again..

Call and have them reset your download counter. There should be TWO or three different files to download and install. How many did you download? Those are separate programs so they are not in the Roxio file. Look for Bias for Sound Soap and Smart Sound for Sonic Fire. It you find it, you have downloaded the files.

Thanks a lot sknis. I did it and it mostly worked! I really aprreciate the help. I was able to get the Sonic Fire component running but I still cannot find the Sound Soap part. I am sure it is in my computer but the files are named in a confusing fashion for a beginner, at least I think. So if the last file is there I just cannot locate it and if I randomly open Roxio 11 files it gets confusing.

 

Back when I went to school there were no computers accept one that was giant and took these punch cards so I have difficulty. I have learned a lot but I still need to take classes or something. If you could give me any other advice I appreciate it and if you cannot that is OK too. I sincerely appreciate your generous help.

Repeat - Look for a Windows folder titled BIAS. The program is there. They have a pretty complex process to register the product so take your time in doing so. It is not very intuitive. If you have a previous version of their software, you must unauthorize it before you can reauthorize it.

 

PS: You are probably the same age or younger than I am. There is no substitue for experience. Just amke sure that you have Windows Restore points when you are playing around and make disc back ups before you make any major changes.
