Videowave Malfunction With Microsoft Security Essent

With Microsoft Security Essentials, the free antivirus from Microsoft I consistently encounter failure of Videowave in both 2010 and 2011. I reintstall Win 7 Ult (64 bit) and Roxio 2010 before other apps and it worked until I added free AV program from Microsoft but not with free AVG program. gabe34

So, it is Free and it destroys the program you want to use

 

Is it worth it?

 

Usually the only conflict comes with those that clean the Registry. Since I have never used MS's does it have that feature?

 

Can you lower the security level which may allow 2010 to work?

 

Is there anything else on your PC that might be the problem? You are the only one who has ever mentioned this.

I run Microsoft Security essentials on Windows 7 Pro x64 since W-7 came out in October 22, 2009. I've used it with C2010 and C2011 and have had no problem

I also have it installed on two other computers running C2010 and C2011 on W-7 HP x32 and W-7 Ultimate x64..

I am having a problem with my videowave 12 too. I am also running microsoft virus and windows defender. I did all the uninstall prosses and cleaned my computer of all but the last restore point. I dissabled virus and defender in msconfig and then reinstalled the program. ( I did not change any msconfig settings back or open any other programs) . I opened the program and can run it perfect the first time out but as soon as I closed it and then tryed to reopen it I couldn't. I can use all the other programs in 2010 without any problems. Maybe tomarrow I will try puting a differant virus protection on it. I will let you know how it goes.
