When burning a dvd from vhs, I set the record time to two hours. After 1 hour the the system said the dvd was full and started finalizing the disc. Is there a way to stop this?

Your using record to DVD, use record edit and save.

 

You will only get 1 hour per single layer DVD with this software. Roxio uses 9+MB in a constant bit rate when encoding and it gives you the 1 hour, now way around that. Split it or use a DVD DL disc..

I agree 111% that Record-Edit-Save is the ONLY way to do recordings and burns!!!

 

But I wanted to point out that there is some control when using P&B over the Burning.

 

I don't have pics for a 4.7 GB but here are the DL set and you can get the idea.

 

 

But just to be sure this is clear, Record-Edit-Save is the ONLY way to do recordings and burns!!!

My version of the program doesn't even RECOGNIZE the DL format. I have tried it on two different machines, both of which have DL R/W capable drives.
