cdanteek
In my original post - Windows 7 operating system. Also, I read through that information and followed those leads before submitting my post. Sorry, the Windows/Macintosh update thing confused me. What version of Easy VHS to DVD, there are three? Since you can't open the program to find out, where did you buy it, how long ago did you buy it, and is it a retail boxed version? Does it list W-7, Vista, and XP compatible on the box? jonatsonic
Hi Hoffie - Without trying to state the obvious, it looks like something you installed from the app couldn't be found. CD's questions are good ones because some older versions of the app don't play as well with Windows 7 and that could be the issue. Otherwise, my first two guesses are: 1) You have a corrupt install. For that, try uninstalling the app then reinstalling as the administrator. If you are the administrator, create a new user account and reinstall. 2) If that still doesn't work, try copying the installer from the install disk onto a folder on your desktop and run the setup.exe. hoffie
The box shows "Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP" The label title on the box is Easy VHS to DVD/WM Rev A - P/N: 242500WM The DVD in the box is labeled as TSID# 729324177906 and P/N: 150332093UN and has a title of Easy Vhs to DVD/UN, 840070022 I followed your 2 suggestions, neither changed the situation. I did notice when the 201B23A Build in the corner of the opening screen just before the error message pops up. hoffie
Problem has been solved. Simply unistalled, repackaged and returned the software to the store for a full refund. There are better solutions available that are "plug and play" Roxio needs to improve their delivery of quality software and support.
