greenie2011
I jave just purchased the boxed copy of Toast 10 Pro from Apple on line store. The continue button stays greyed out when cd key is entered. All system requirements are OK. Any ideas as spent the last 10 hours or so with Roxio customer care and they haven'y sorted this
tsantee
The most likely explanation is you've entered a zero for an oh, or a one for an ell (or vice versa). Since the boxed version is likely out of date, you might just download the 10.0.8 update and install from it (which contains everything from the boxed version except for the getting started guide). You'll still run into the registration key issue, however, unless you get a working number.

Any ideas as spent the last 10 hours or so with Roxio customer care and they haven'y sorted this Hi greenie2011 I was having the same trouble, when I saw your post it gave me the courage to try a few things. I discovered that you will need to type your key in lower case. This also applies to HD/BD plug in key. also be careful to interpret the characters corectly as "F" can look a little like an "E" printed poorly. Good luck, Phil from oz. Thanks for the but still no joy, I have tried the new downloaded version, tried the lower case, check 0 and O but still greyed out. Tried on 3 macs and same on all 3 three. Roxio still not able to help. Not happy as you can imagine, as not even been able to get started at all.
sunfall
I had the same problem. What finally fixed it was returning it to Amazon, and getting a new one. I didn't have to type in lower case. Now I have a whole other set of problems, but that is another story. I have a suspicion that my key may have been previously used. I asked Roxio repeatedly if others had the same problem and was ignored.

Hi Greenie - I have reviewed your tickets and passed this on to our management team to assist. We're looking into what's going on with the key. Sorry for all the confusion. jonatsonic
Hi Greenie - We have determined that the key is not for Toast, but the HD/BRD plug-in. Please make sure you are using the Toast Pro plug-in. This maybe the case for others with this issue. Thanks, Jon Roxio Support
greenie2011
Where is this on the documentation, cant see any other one on the card insert?
jonatsonic
If you ordered it through the Roxio website, your email receipt/confirmation should list your keys. Also look to the cd sleeve of the disc. Jon

The registration info is carried over from the previous installation. You'll need to contact Roxio about this.
gossamersound
Please make sure you are entering the right key. Some keys may have been swapped. the number is very low, but this was the case for the original poster of this thread: they were accidentally entering a Blu-Ray plug-in key instead of the Toast key. SO DO NOT UPDATE to 10.0.8 cheers, We are. Gossamersound's suggestions are accurate and didn't require a follow up from us. Please try them. Also, I do not see a support ticket from you (except for some searches back in 2006). If you have Toast 10, you are entitled to free chat, phone, and mail support. Also please verify what version of the software you are using: standard edition or Pro. Thanks, Jon Roxio Customer Care

Thanks, Jon Roxio Customer Care Im wondering what you think your customers think of you when you print comments such as "If you have Toast 10, you are entitled to free chat, phone, and mail support." Yet when I called with the identical problem what did I get told ? I got told that Toast 10 has no phone support. The call centre in India has me waiting hours on end for an email response which was completely useless.
