Sonic Update Manager

smitty'sgirl

Question

I have a Dell Inspiron 6000 with Windows xp media edition. I am running IE8. Sonic Digital Media LE 7 came preinstalled on my laptop. I've had my computer since 2006 and recently had to do a pc restore. Since then, at start up and when you open the program, the sonic update manager tries to install from a disc that I don't have. I can't cancel or x out of these pop up boxes, they just keep opening back up. I have to end the program through the task manager. I tried to repair the program through add/remove programs, but that also requires a disc. I have looked for a solution at dell, which leaves me unsatisfied. I noticed another topic in this forum similar to mine, but with no replies. I have no media, at the moment, to test the program's functionality, but as far as I can tell it appears to be working properly. Any advice?

Thanks.

I'm surprised that you are runing anthing that old with IE8.

As you know, what you have is an OEM modified for use on Dell computers. All support comes from Dell. Call them.

You didn;t very hard at the other thread. there was a response #9 in that thread.
