Activation Of Mpeg-2 Codec

I am running XP I am using Roxio easy media creator 10. I have used it for some years and now my video wave will not work. I get the error message ; MUST ACTIVATE MPEG-2 CODEC BEFORE USING THIS APPLICATION, CLICK ON YES TO ACTIVATE, I DO THAT AND I GET THE MESSAGE NO PERMISSION-BAD INSTALL. I HAVE USED CLEAN UNSTALL 3 OR 4 TIMES AND REINSTALLED BUT WITH NO LUCK.

Can I get some direction to correct this problem. As I have look and researched I see this is and age old problem.

Do you have an earlier version of Roxio software on your computer? That activation message was used in Easy Media Creator 9.

 

The clean install should have worked, but for some people, it doesn't. If not, there may not be a resolution to your problem.
