Importing Mts Files To Videowave

Pop Team H8mori s.r.o.

Question

Hi

I have Roxio 2011 PRO (ver 1.3.166 SP1 Build 131B66A R04), with videowave in it. I am trying to import video files which is in AVCHD format *.mts extension to videwave with no success. I tried to drag it , also with add photo/video button, and also tried to import it through capture/import tool.

I found in roxio's help file that the MTS is supported and can be added to production of videowave. Please help me how. thanks

I've attached picture of the roxio's message .

What you left out was the SOURCE of these files...

There is something non-standard about them and you may have to run them through a converter like the one HERE to make them into a usable format.

This is more common than you think with some camcorders and becoming almost commonplace with 'movies' from a digital camera :(

Do you want to use the files???

Panasonic chose to use a deviation of the standard format so you if you want to use them, they will have to be converted to conform... Try the one I suggested and convert them to either to MTS or try mpeg HD.

Also, if you would like, shoot a 5 to 10 second clip and post it on a host site, like UpForDown, and some of will try it out and see what we can find. Of course you will have to post the link here after you have it uploaded ;)

It isn't the first time this happened and the digital cameras seem to be the worst offenders! They usually include some customized software that has been modified to deal with it.

Usually that included software includes an Export option to convert, so that other editors can be used with it.
