Crasher
Hi all; Does the Roxio Backup MyPc create a bootable disk (CD or DVD)? If not, does any of the utils offered create a bootable disk? I have XP and Windows 7 computers, got rid of Vista junk. Thx in advance...
Brendon
Sorry, Backup MyPC doesn't create a bootable disk. Neither does it create a bootable disc. A bootable disc cannot be used to restore a bootable system hard drive with Backup MyPC. If you have your system backed up and your hard drive fails, you have to reinstall Windows, then install and configure Backup MyPC, and then go through a process of restoring from your backup set(s). Creator will allow you to make a bootable CD or DVD, or copy a bootable disc, or burn a bootable disc from a bootable disc image. EMC 9 will not run under Windows 7. Crasher
Thx Brendon for the post; I didn't see in Creator 9 where to create a bootable CD. I know 9 is awfully old, but I never used it like this before. Any help in Creator 9 would be greatly appreciated.
Brendon
Sorry, I couldn't see if you were interested in bootable discs, or restoring a bootable disk, so I had to address both. If you want to make a bootable CD or DVD in EMC 9, run Creator Classic. It's an option in there. Regards, Brendon
