Roxio Burn Stops Working

I'm new to this, I would appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this problem as I cannot burn any music CD's using Roxio Burn.

 

 

• Error code or issue:

I was burning a music CD using Roxio Burn and Roxio quit working. I then closed Roxio and tried again but upon trying to re-open Roxio received the message A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly, windows will close the program and notify you if a solution has been found. I tried numerous times to launch Roxio but kept getting the same message. We decided to uninstall Roxio and then install it again, to our surprise we got the same message.

 

• What kind of project were you working on:

I was burning a music CD using Roxio Burn.

• What kinds of files were you using and where did you get them?

MP3 files which I had downloaded from a music website.

• Did you complete your project or did it stop at a certain point in the process?

I did not complete my project because Roxio quit before completion,message was Roxio has stopped responding.

• Have you ever successfully completed the task that you are contacting us about?

Yes, I have burned music CD’s before and it worked fine. We used to be able to start from the Roxio Creator 2010 Pro short-cut but that no longer works. We can however start Roxio Photosuite 12 from the Roxio Photosuite 12 shortcut. We believe that the problem with Roxio burn is preventing Roxio Creator pro 2010 from launching properly.

I would like to add that Roxio has stopped working while I have been using the program to edit photo’s. This seems to happen when I am performing a more complicated edit, this has caused me to not trust the program. The message is Roxio has stopped responding. I also using PSE to edit photo’s and have no problem with that program.

• Did you make any changes to your computer recently? (new applications, updates, etc) If so, what?

We don’t think we have made any changes to the computer since the last time Roxio worked properly.
