Doesnt Meet Spec

Burtyp

Question

Hi Dell I recently bought Roxio Creator 2011 having discovered that the Roxio 2009 I bought in November wont work on my new Windows 7 64 bit laptop.

Halfway through installation the install crashed. now, when I try and continue the install of Roxio 2011 I get error message saying the laptop doesnt meet the required spec which I cant how it is true. Laptop is new and pretty high spec

Whats going on and how can I get the Roxio software to correctly asses my spec ?

Thanks

Al

Hi thanks for that Ive removed the windows vista incorrect tab as you suggested. Got past Roxio stopping due to incorrect spec, however, now I get

"Roxio C 2011 setup was interrupted. Your system has not been modifie. To install this prog etc

I have attached the log file from the failed installation. Any idea what is happening ?

Thanks again.

Al

Log file removed because it contains the users CD Key!

Users are supposed to send the log file to support or PM (Personal Message) it to Sonic Boom when he has asked for it.

Al, I will PM the log file to Sonic Boom for you.

Looked at the log file and it shows an issue with Microsoft's DirectX installer

02/05/11 10:19:21 - Updating install progress: 9 / 22, (null)

02/05/11 10:19:21 - Action InstallActions.DIRECTX_FEB10.Install failed with exit code 1603.

02/05/11 10:19:21 - Installation failed with error code 1603

02/05/11 10:19:21 - Rolling back installation

You can try the solution here
