video wave in creator 2011 seems to take a long time when loading up existing projects to edit. When saving changes, it takes so long that that the screen seems to lock up, the only indicator is the hard drive light on the pc randomly blinks. after several minutes, all the mouse clicks you did 7 minutes before go thru, and then the gui starts to respond again.
This is a new install on vista 64bit. My pc is a gigabyte mb with an amd athlon II 4 core 630 processor running at 2.8ghz, along with 8gig of ram. My video card is a evga 9800gtx+ card with 512 meg of ram on board.
My system drive is separate from my drive with all my videos, pix etc, and both are sata drives. I am looking for some guidance as to what is slowing down the loading and saving of my projects. The projects range in size from 2 to 5 meg. It just takes almost twice as long as creator 9 did.
