Printing On Cd/dvd's Using Label Creator

jef

Question

Roxio Label Creator only contains templates for printing discs on Epson printers. Templates for other printers can be added to the program, and templates for Canon Tray C and Tray F are shown in the attachments. Templates for other Canon printer trays can be constructed by following the procedure described in the attachments but using the actual dimensions of the tray to be used.

General information on Canon CD/DVD printer trays, including dimensions, can be found here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/48410691/Canon-Printer-CD-DVD-Tray

Alternative sources for the attachements are here and here

Great info... I'll see if I can create .JWP files for the other Canon Trays. I've already created files for the Trays 'C & E'. See my pinned post at the top of this forum.

---

Added the Canon Trays 'C & F' to my post, but they need to be tested. If anyone has these, please let me know if they work.Just send me a message.

Attached are my versions of the Roxio Label Creator templates for Trays C & G. They have been fine-tuned and tested in the printers. Perhaps you can compare the Offsets with yours.

Thanks.

I am using canon Pixma IP5000 using Tray "B".

Want to try it but no JWP file for it.

I do not know if I can be a convert to Roxio label print , Canon's CD label print is doing a great job for me.

I copied the JWP F (I know that file is not for my printer) into the page files just to test if my printer will

show up on the Printer drop down window but no, only my Dell. But proceeding into the print section and "calibration" there my Canon shows up on the printer selection window.

Not sure why, might be because my Dell was the default. Until My Canon shows up in the printer window can't use it as the DELL will be the printer used to print.

Obviously cannot run the test prints. But it might work using the right template for B tray and the Canon will show up in the main print window..

anyway, nice exercise might have to wait till I upgrade my canon. As the print head is becoming clogged more often now.

Use the full version of Roxio Label Creator, not the Roxio Express Labeler version. Go to File > Page Setup > select Media: Print to Disc and Paper Type: whichever Canon template has been installed. Go to Print and select The Canon printer from the drop down list, and in Properties set up the Canon printer to print on discs (i.e set Page Size, Media Type, and Paper Source for printing to discs).

The "C" template is very similar to the "B" template, but the offsets may need to be adjusted by a millimetre or so to achive the optimum alignment. When you are satisfied modify the JWP file to fully customise the template for the ip5000.
