I have a similar problem

ScimitarGTC

Question

Capturing Vhs tapes to HD. Using roxio VHS to DVD verse 23A. Checked the tape by showing on a TV NO PROBLEMS.When capturinjg the video & audio is jolted, jittery & skips scences.

TOSHIBA / AMD Athlon (dual Core) 2 GHz / Ram 3 GB / 350 GB HD / windows 7 64 bit operating system

I have just raised a similar problem with support and it will be interesting to see what they come back with. The product was working perfectly and I was very pleased with the results.

I have tried the VCR I am recording with on a TV and it is perfect.

I have tried the VHS cassette in another VCR and it is perfect.

I have tried a different VHS cassette in my recording VCR and still get the problem.

I have tried connecting via another USB port but still get the same problem.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software but still get the problem.

I have checked all of the cable connections, they are all good.

The only thing I can't check to see if it is introducing any corruption is the Roxio USB capture device.

The problem has to be with the Roxio kit somewhere. Like you my PC more than meets the requirements; I have gigabits of RAM and a 1 terrabyte HD.

So what did you do to your system that it no longer works? ANy windows updates? Did you run any registry cleaners?

What OS are you running? What version of VHS2DVD do you have?

I have not done anything to my system. This problem started before any windows updates were installed, I have update set to 'advise and let me decide when to download and install'. I have not run any registry cleaners. The Easy VHS/DVD was running perfectly before starting to give a stuttered and jittery preview at times during the same session. O/S is Windows 7 Home Premium and the Easy VHS/DVD is 201B23A. Support have suggested downloading a driver that is designed to fix a problem of the USB capture device not being seen but my capture device is being seen. The problem is the at times jittery preview, audio I think is OK. I have asked support to clarify if the download is intended to fix this problem as well as the one of not being seen.
