I don’t get as far as trying to burn a CD . I load Roxio and select Music/Audio section and click on burn either MP3 or CD and I get the above error message, at this stage Roxio does not know anything about which or were the music files are what type they, just clicking on the “to burn symbols” and the program stops.

I had a similar problem. OS win 7. I could still burn using other programs: win media player. The repair function with the install/uninstall function had no effect. I think the problem is caused by a corrupted log. Last time this happened I was able to track down this log, within C: users/ app data etc, delete the log and ROXIO worked fine.

However this time I could not remember where the log was. I fixed the problem by uninstalling the programme, then making all of the files on the computer visible (unhiding them in folder options) then manually searching for all files left over after the uninstall, ROXIO, ROXIO 2010 ect, and deleting them all, restarting the PC then installing Roxio again, the problem is gone and ROXIO works find.

Re my problem with Roxio, I am asked for more information about my system etc., this I supply but still no fix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see others are having similar problems, again being asked for more info, but NO fix

Can some one help?.

We are trying. Remember that this is NOT Roxio tech support so we must have time to try to find an answer or try to remember if we had the issue. You can always contact Roxio and pay for the support. Your version has been superseded with a newer version.

If we don't ask questions, how do we know how to solve your problem. It is not a bug in the program because a bug affects ALL users.

BTW, have you tried to use "Create Music Disc Project"?

Have you contacted Tesco to see what their restrictions/suggested procedure is? If you gohere (link), the site says you can burn to a portable mp3 player but does NOT say you can burn a CD. If you find a page that says you can do it, please post the link to it.

Have you checked the file to see if it is corrupt? Did the Tesco download manager put the music in an ITunes folder? If so, have you tried to use the ITunes application for burning the music?

What anti-virus do you have? Are you running a registry cleaner?

Have you simply tried to repair the program with your anti-virus OFF (not Paused)?

As for the uninstall/install. First do this, then use the free Revo Uninstallerin the Moderate Mode to uninstall the progrtam and delete all the registry items. There are a lot of them. Shut down your anti-virus (not just pause it) ; reinstall. If you missed some registry entries, you have wasted your time. Do not skip steps!

If you are unwilling to work WITH us, perhaps you can find help elsewhere.

Hi as I reported in my earlier report the program goes into error after selecting “music Audio” and then selecting “burn Audio cd’s” or “burn MP3 CD’s” it then reports error and stops, at this stage no music fills have been allocated to burn and Roxio does not know which folders to burn. I managed to burn the Tesco download using another program without any problems so presume the file is OK.

Digital Guru, yes this is the part you high lighted that is the problem.

I uninstalled Roxio, unhide all files and deleted all Roxio files found, reloaded Roxio and still have the same problem, program stops working as above, I am wondering if the download I have is corrupt?.

Is it possible to re-download Roxio again any one know?.

Possibly, if you have the information needed. Go here (link).

When trying to use music/audio to create music CD, after clicking on “Burn audio CD’s” error comes up “Roxio has stopped working”. Reloaded program and updated to SP2 still same error.

This only happens when using the Music/Audio section.

System is Windows7 Roxio 2010

Did you download through ITunes (one of the options)? If so, you may have to use ITunes to burn the music because of DRM protection. Fair use does not come into play.

If you didn't, then you may still have some restrictions. I can't find anythign on the Tesco site about burning the music to disc. What format are the video files?

Have you tried to burn a cd using other music files? Do you still get that stopped working error?

Do you get that error with any of the other applications in the suite? How recently did you install it? That error is pretty generic (google for it) but it appears to be a .net issue.

Make sure you computer is up to date (use this to check). Shut off your anti-virus. Put the disc in your drive and select to repair or reinstall the disc when the message comes up.
