You missed specifying your OS and service pack.

You said that your are having a problem installing C2011 but then you also say you get a "blank box" when you click some Roxio Desktop icon. If you have not been able to install C2011 then you should not even have a Roxio Desktop icon.

Thanks for responding. It appears everything has loaded in the Roxio file in "programs" But every time I click on the desktop Icon I get the same box as "Saraky" - Topic: Start up crash". I am still scratching my head and wondering if there is a compatibility problem? Please let me know what to provide to help?

I'm running Vista - SP 2

You are starting to post a bunch of non-replies ! I think there are about 6 or 7 of them. they have been deleted to clean up the thread.

Just below the message that you want to reply to, there is a "reply" tab. Click that and when the new window opens, you will see two "quotes" surrounded by brackets. Add your reply after the second (bottom) quote. If you must, you can add it before the first quote but people still have to scroll down to see what you are replying to. After you are finsished, just click on add reply.

For instance

I'm running Vista - SP 2

/quote]

This is where you type your reply.

Note, that I change the bracket for the first quote so it shows the text and not the quote box.

The blank box I get has four boxes, one with the Roxio logo and an x, the other three are just blank. I can type info in the three blank boxes but when I hit enter nothing happens. Here is the info on my system. Any help would be helpful. Thanks

Why is it so hard to install this program. I think I will just take it back and find one that isn't so difficult to install. This is stupid. To have to reprogram your computer just to install a program doesn't make sense. Thank you for your time and info.

Because that is the way it is in the real world when it comes to complex software!

The only time I have ever had any problem with Roxio install was on a “new” PC that had a bad a bad HDD!

Keep in mind that the Guru’s here often install on several PC’s for testing and take part in the many versions of Beta testing too.

Yes other Video programs do install well but I have not found a single one I like to use…

But that is your choice :(

Well you used one word that explains a lot. GURU. I am not a computer guru. I don't have time to sit for several hours or days to try and load a program or reprogram a computer to make a program work. I am sorry that I don't fit into your REAL WORLD. I am just a plain working man trying to have some fun with my computer. Again thank you for your time and I am sorry for any trouble I caused.

Your no problem, and always welcome here ;)

“Guru” is a title imposed on us here by the board… The only criteria is make enough posts!

We it up to me, I would have chosen something like Digital Dope

I do agree, it would be nice were it a ’click & smile’ install. However, those that have a lot of trouble are merely seeing symptoms of other problems they already have :o

You can leave your head in the sand or you can learn how to use what you bought… We are here and willing to help!
