Are Mydvd 4.5 Dvd Files Compatible With Mydvd Video Lab?

cathyo

Question

I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7. I want to move all my MyDVD files created with MyDVD 4.5 to my new computer and then I need to purchase replacement software to open those files and create new DVDs. So my questions are:

1) If I purchase MyDVD Video Lab will I be able to open my 4.5 DVD files?

2) What if I purchase Roxy Creator 11.0 instead, can I use that to open the old files?

Thanks,

Cathy

What do you mean by myDVD files or "the old files"? Are you referring to the project files with the extension of dmsd?

If yes then no newer software will be able to work with them.

I don't even know if myDVD Lab is compatible with W7.

There is no Roxy Creator 11.0. The correct name is Roxio Creator 2011 (aka C2011). Please use the correct name for software packages. Using made up names just confuses the issues as Roxio has confused the situation enough already by changing the naming system.
