Update To Creator 2011 From 2009

Currently have the Creator 2009 version installed on PC (Windows7), however had problems installing on my laptop (Windows 7 & preferred system). I would like to only use the Laptop and upgrade to Creator 2011. Could I purchase the "Upgrade" version and will I be able to install it with out Creator 2009 on the laptop. Also has the speed improved when the application is opened, as 2009 version is very slow in opening and responding the commands.

You don't need any previous version to install the latest. However, if you had speed probems with the laptop, they will still be there.

 

The speed of operation of any app is dependant on the computer power (CPU speed, RAM, Graphics) and if an older version is sluggish, a newer one will be bno better and may indeed be worse

Are you saying that I can purchase the upgrade version and install without a previous version installed? Also speed of other application is very good. Roxio is the only app which takes time to load, update and close, once it is loaded the application itself works efficiently. My thoughts were that the 2009 version doesn't like Windows 7.

You do not need to have any version installed to install C2011. I don't understand what you mean by "Roxio is the only app which takes time to load, update and close". What are you trying to update?

 

C2009 is not compatible with W7.

I have managed to load 2009 on my W7 PC. It is working but takes time to open Roxio Creator (when I select from the shortcut or programs menu) then also when I select an app (such as creat dvd)this also takes time to open. However I do think this is the case because Creator 2009 is not W7 compatible.

What did you expect....... it is NOT COMPATIBLE.

It MAY work for a time but, as others have found out, it WILL stop working at some stage
