No Video Signal

ThePunky

Question

When starting I get a video picture and audio for about a second or two the a black screen saying "no video available although the audio keeps working. The videos play fine when connected to a television.

These tapes are old, with some static, Mono and in black and white. This is just one of many that I bought this program for, is there a fix the this annoying black screen which allows me to record these old battered tapes before they are completely deteriorated?

Not really… Some users have trouble with B/W video and some do not :(

We recommend trying a ‘pass through’ utilizing a DVD Player or camcorder or even another VCR.

Source VCR >> Other Player >> Capture Device >> PC

Again, for some it works for others it does not!

One user reported success by using the coax connection from the Source VCR to the Pass Through device… He did this instead of the usual RCA (red, white & yellow) hookup and it actually makes sense…

Try it and let us know how you make out! ;)
