Vhs To Dvd Help Needed

Dani71

Question

Recently purchased Roxio VHS to DVD..Having problem with two things...First, capture button is greyed out and secondly when I try to use it says, "No video signal"

I have an Hp 6620f desktop computer with vista home premium installed. I have followed the suggestions on the following articles:

Device Not Recognized, Common Issues, Capture Button grayed out

I have the capture device hooked up to the back of my pc and the cord with the red, white and blue, attached to it and my vcr. At first it seemed to be working and then suddenly the next time I opened the program I got the greyed out button and the left side of the screedn said No video signal.

I read some of the suggestions here about removing the program and reinstalling and turning off the anti virus software and such but I don't seem to be having any luck. I have made several attempts with Roxio's customer service but they refer me to the same three articles that I referenced earlier. I have checked to see whether or not any drivers needed up dating and they don't. I really don't know where to go from here..

Can anyone out there help me?

Thanx

Dani

Hey Dani -

What is the source of your video? How old is the tape? Is it a commercial VHS tape (like a hollywood movie)? Does it skip, have lots of video noise,e tc that may be obstructing the signal?

I tried finding your tickets with your forums email, but couldn't see any. If you contact support with a different mail, private message me and I'll see what the agents are up to with helping you out.

Thanks,

Jon
