I had my tv/vcr combo set up to watch on tv and record to dvd. The kids unplugged and I cannot get it work again...help! I can watch on tv or on the computer....but can't seem to get them both to work.

Do you have a Roxio product in there somewhere? What is it?

Tell the kids that they will not get their allowance unless they fix it !

I have the creator 2010. I am hooking up to a magnavox vhs/dvd player. The kids tried and gave up! I can't seem to get video to both the computer and the tv.

magnavox model MWD2205, vhs/dvd combo. I am using the audio/video out dvd/vcr audio vido out which I can plug the yellow and red into the Roxio video capture cable. I can also plug in the same cables to my tv (using red and yellow cable). I had it set up to view both, and record on the computer....but can't seem to get the both working again

also the topic solved button got pushed on one of my posts....problem is not solved.

Thank you.

You could connect the Composite cable (Y/R/W) to the Roxio Usb unit, and use the S-Video (plus audio) to you TV.

Or reverse the above, if your TV does not have a S-Video jack.

I don't know if the VCR video will appear on the S-Video output as the designation on the jack says DVD. You could try it and see.

Thank you so much for your help.....it worked!!!! I am now labeling the cables so I don't have to do this again!!

I connected the yrw to the usb connection, and I thought I had an S video...I did not. I used the antennae wire from the vcr to the tv (changed the channel) and it worked! Thanks again for your help.

Write it down and make a sketch just in case the kids get to it again!:P

Using the RF jack was plan C, if A or B did not work.
