Subtitles Won't Go Away...

JoeJoeBengal

Question

I JUST bought and installed Easy DVD Copy Premier on My Windows 7 64-bit PC. It looks fairly easy to use, yet is giving me fits. I am trying to convert an unsecure DVD saved to my server (IFO files) to an MP4 format that can be read on my X-Box 360, Windows Phone, etc. It is converting a movie as I type. However, it will NOT let me pull out the sub-titles. I can see the Options tab, where they are listed. Presumably when you un-check the box, they will not be a part of the conversion. However, when I do that and click okay on the window, they are still inserted into the converted file with French sub-titles. When I go back into the Options tab, I see they are still checked.

Please tell me how to make this go away. I cannot tell you how much this is frustrating me.

Peace!

I don't think the problem with Roxio software failing to hold that setting and exclude subtitles has been fixed, JoeJoe.

Every time it comes up, someone says that only commercial films have subtitles in the first place.

Then someone else says that what you're trying to do is illegal.

Then the topic gets locked. :(

There is a bug in the software, that hasn't, and no doubt, won't be fixed. It hasn't been fixed in the latest Roxio version, Creator 2011.

The statement that the threads, discussing subtitles, are always locked, is incorrect though. Here is one, that started late last year and was responded to, a few days ago. Unfortunately, once again, there was no solution.
