tsantee
You can mark the start and end points for each track. However, you can't remove something between that start and end point and have those pieces join as a single track. That can be done by an audio editing application or by QuickTime 7 Pro. Thank you my friend, ( tsantee), I will give that a try. I hesitate to purchase QuickTime again, as I have done that several times before and it will never follow me when I get a new machine or update my O.S. Again, thanks for the timely reply. It's nice to know that there is actually someone out there in cyberspace who cares and is listening. Bill (pilgrim-bill)

My QuickTime Pro license is in my Apple orders list at Apple's online store. If you are running OS 10.6 and didn't have QuickTime Pro already installed you'll need to download QuickTime 7 (or possibly install it from the Snow Leopard install disc). Then you can enter your registration key.

pilgrim-bill
Thanks again Tsantee, I'm showing my ignorance here, but I was under the impression that Roxio Toasts "CD Spin Doctor", was an audio editing application. I will go with Quick Time 7 Pro. Bill Gremmert

Bill Gremmert There are various things that Spin Doctor and Toast can do that audio editors also do, but technically neither has the full capabilities of audio editing applications. Spin Doctor can capture audio, equalize, apply some filters and separate tracks. Toast can crossfade, trim tracks, normalize audio levels and apply audio unit filters.
