Egerton
Well I wanted to use some educational DVD's so had to get a decoder. Bought cineplayer. It worked once. since then I have had a ticket going. I have done everything asked over and over. If i stick a DVD in machine I get a black screen If I go to start and click on WMP i get an index of chapters and titles. the time elapsed bar moves across the bottom but no video If I go to tools then plug ins then Video DSP the box to the right is blank I have deleted wmp and reinstalleda couple of times. I have deleted and reinstalled cineplayer 3 or 4 times. I have checked and double checked drivers etc. I reloaded Direct X and then sent the Direct X chkup file to Roxio. Now I dont even get a response from the tech folks at Roxio. I got a nice survey that I answered politely telling them the issue is not fixed. I got the "surely I am going to help" in response to my first ticket All I can conclude is I am out the cost of the download and it's time to move on to another decoder. Or is it? Any ideas please? Unfortunately you are talking about two different pproducts at the same time and it is confusing. CinePlayer is a stand alone product that plays video files or DVDs. Roxio also sells a plug in for Windows Media Player to enable it to play DVDs which is doesn not do natively. Did you buy that plug in? What Operating System are you using? What video card? Unfortunately if you had CinePlayer from EMC 10 and then installed the WMP plug in, it removes the CinePlayer you have. It is one or the other for this discussion. You posted in EMC 10. Do you have that software? What build? Did you update it at some time?

sknis
THE DVD'S ARE A UDF file type I looked for better drivers but got the these are ok msg 1) Please explain what you mean by a UDF file. The decoder is for standard commercial and home burned DVDs. 2) I pointed you to the drivers for your card. Unless you have a laptop, use the drivers from the NVidia site. If you have a laptop, then get the drivers from your computer manufacturer. Do not rely on Windows to get your drivers.
