Can I Preview An Iso Image File Before Burning?

In an earlier version of Roxio Creator, when you clicked on an iso file, you got a preview window that allowed you to preview the video before burning. This insured the iso file was the one that you wanted without the waste of burning it to a DVD. I don't see this preview option in Creator 11. Is there another application in Creator 11 that lets you preview it? Videowave, Video Copy and Convert maybe?

You may be thinking of creating a virtual drive , loading that ISO file into it and then playing it. That still works. Home page, Tools, load disc image.

 

Many of us now use the free VLC player. It will play the image files as is.

Actually, and it's been awhile, I think you can point MyDVD to an ISO image, to select a movie to add to your project. And indeed, it would let you at least see what's in the image, assuming it's an image of a DVD movie.

 

But alternatively, opening the image using Disc Image Loader is also an excellent option.

 

Just pointing Creator Classic to an ISO image, and selecting "burn disc from image file" doesn't give you that option.

I think that the last version, where you were able to preview an .iso file, without creating a virtual drive, was Easy Media Creator 9, where you could preview it in a window, in Disc Copier.

Okay... Video Copy & Convert will open and let you preview a .ISO file in Creator 2011, not MyDVD.
