Gregski
Ok, I am new to this whole media player codec game. I see here a ton of products but no help on getting Windows Media Player to work with your codec decoder what ever it is called. Do you assume it's as easy as just add water and stir, because it is not, it just doesn't work period. So far I don't like what I am seeing, if it's not one thing it's another simply to listen to a song or watch a video. I am using Windows XP Pro with Windows Media Player 10 (yes I've tried version 11 but it sucks messes up your library completely) anyway found out I need a codec to watch a mpg movie so I followed a link from the Microsoft site to get the Roxio CinePlayer DVD Decoder. Installed it and now I get sound but no picture, how awesome is that. For the life of me I don't get why or how we can have a Media "Player" and not be able to play a video, that is such nonsense. It's not a codec it is a plugin.. Have a read through this.>> http://kb.roxio.com/search.aspx?URL=/content/000009CP&PARAMS=set-locale=en
