Easy Vhs To Dvd "no Video Signal"

eezjin

Question

Bought & installed Easy VHS to Video, hooked up to my Video Player using composite & also S Video , but get no video signal - audio is fine. Running Win 7 home premium 32 bit 2G RAM etc., tried two different video players with the same affect.

I also have Roxio Creator 2011 , used this with my new capture device - with capture video, it recognises the capture device - audio fine and I do get a picture but only in black and white, but will not allow me to capture as the button is greyed out.

any ideas or help please

I am guessing you are getting your S-Video off of a SCART adapter???

You will need one like this: AmazonUK

Yes this is like the one I have except it also has a s video cable atytached to the two way scart, but but this one and try. But I have also tried with composite video leads red, white & yellow not using

s video, but didnt know why it was black & white on roxio 2011

Well that was just one that our memebers in the UK have recommended!

If you want to use S-Video, make sure it is actually hooked up to the adapter!!!

A vast number of the SCARTs use the same plug but cut corners in wiring and leave out the wires for composite and S-Video :o

If you can stop in an electronics shop, tell them what you are doing and they will know the correct adapter to use ;)

Let us know how you make out???

Had no joy with Easy VHS to video, however using a s video cable and red & white audio worked ok with Roxio Creator 2011 , imported 108 mins of VHS, would like to put on DVD, but is 23 GB

can I shrink to fit on DVD with Roxio Creator 2011

Thanks for help

You don't...

When you create a DVD Movie with MyDVD everything will be as it should :)

Just an FYI, DVD's hold about 1 hour of HQ video. Trying to pack on more will degrade the quality and you don't have much to spare since you only started with a VHS.

Get a disc or 2 of DVD RW to use for learning and testing. Things make more sense when you try them ;)
