Dvd Burn Results In Distortion In Some Pictures

dchnd

Question

I have PhotoShow 6.0.0 with Build #857. Unable to burn a PhotoShow to DVD that ‘looks' good, continue to get copies that have shimmer or glistening in some pictures. PhotoShow contains 160 pics. Example a water picture will look as if the water is moving. Leaves on trees will appear to be shimmering in the light. The PhotoShow functions properly on-line and with the 6.0.0 program. Have tried different DVD burners with no change in quality. My DVD internal burner is a Liteon 22x Internal DVD/CD writer iHAP 322. I have also tried an external burner…no change in final quality. Please Advise.

Are you using older equipment to watch the PhotoShow DVD?

Does the DVD look OK if you watch it on your computer (use the free VLC player downloaded from cnet.com) to watch it?

Some shimmer was an artifact of older TV/DVDs. That is why you never saw verticle stripes on shirts/blouses of newscasters.

Sorry, I don't have any other suggestions.

The DVD looks just fine when watching on computer. Using VLC player. The TV/DVD player is about 4 years old, but I've also played on other TV/DVD's...same problems.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Then there is really not much we can help with. Try using the best DVD (Verbatim or JVC Taiyo-Yuden) and try burning at a lower speed.

Some people might like that effect ! :P
