cwil
I read somewhere but can't find a comment about registry cleaners. Someone mentioned they used cc cleaner. Will cc cleaner cause me any problems. I hope not as I use it religiously and was about to run tonight but wanted to check first.
0 Brendon
I have experimented with breaking various Roxio suites with registry cleaners, to see what broke and how to avoid or repair the breaks. I haven't managed to break one with CCleaner yet. Most of the Roxio software which was allergic to registry cleaners has now been recoded to avoid this vulnerability. 0 sknis
You can also run CCleaner without the registry cleaner part.
0 gi7omy
There's a good Wiki article on registry cleaners here - so you can weigh up the pros and cons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Registry_cleaner One interesting bit in it tho: "...Microsoft's only registry cleaner has since been deprecated because of unintended damage that it caused..."
