Download Limit

naturist

Question

Ok, I'm annoyed about having difficulties downloading Toast 11. It seems that for some reason there is a limiter on the download process. The first time I tried to download, I managed to get to about 258 MB of the 381 MB when the download link broke and all attempts to restart the download only brought up a message to the effect that I'd tried to download too many times.

So I contacted CS, and they said they reset the counter. This time, my download started where it left off and got to 378 of the 381 MB before repeating the process of refusing to let me finish.

I have no idea why somebody thinks it is a good idea to set such a limit on the download process, but it would seem to me that the time a human spends dealing with my email and resetting my download counter would pay for a permanent increase in the number of trys allowed, or perhaps complete elimination of the number of trys in the 30 days I'm supposed to have to get my product downloaded. Just sayin' . . . .

I'm having exactly the same problem.

I've been trying for two solid days going backward and forward with Digital River support. I still don't have a completed download. I'm about " " this close to asking for a refund. I agree that it's completely ridiculous in this day and age to limit downloads the way Digital River does. I understand they're trying to combat piracy, but the truth is that they're just hampering paying customers.

Not impressed at all. This is my first Roxio purchase, and it's also likely to be my last based on this customer experience.

I agree. This is TERRIBLE customer service. On what planet does it take 8 hours to download a 380 MB file! Roxio needs to fix this and quick.

And if my download stops part way through I am going to be soooo pissed. I will certainly be checking the forums to see if this problem is resolved before I buy another product from Roxio.

COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!
