Unable To Burn Dvd - Help! Need For Wedding!

Wolfzone

Question

I created a DVD - a total of 62 photos and 2 MP3's and it previewed just fine - no problem. Then I attempt to create a DVD - clicked on the option "PhotoShow DVD" (I believe that is the option) and receive - after about an hour along the lines of "attempt to burn unsuccessful")

I call Roxio support YESTERDAY - tech support and a man told me to try saving it as a .wma first - as a video - rather than use the "Photoshow DVD" option and then to create a DVd using an outside program - (So why did I buy this Photoshow program???)

I did so and it worked fine - I could view it on my computer - but NOT on my DVD player

I call today and the same man that helped me yesterday answers - I tell him I need a stage 2 technical support rep - I'm committed to making a DVD to be shown at a family wedding - he tells me - after a long hold - that I should receive a call-back tonight - that he has to fill out a form first and that it usually takes 24-48 hrs - CAN'T wait guy, NEED advice NOW.

I feel it is important to add our DVD writer/player works fine - we are able to play all other software on it - not a writer issue.

Can anyone FRICKIN help??? MUCH appreciated. If Photoshow tech support won't offer me a solution - I'm posting my frustrating experience on FB and YELP and NOT re-newing my membership in October.

Do you have any video editing programs on your computer?

Play is a lot different than write.

Redownload V6 from your members page and install it. Don't worry you won't lose anything. Try burning it with that latest build. What build do you have now? It is on the splash screen. The sooner we get thast information then we can offer some suggestions.

Where did you get the mp3s? If they are from iTunes and is not the "plus" download then it may have DRM protection so you can use them.

How about some information on your system? Read this and come with some of the requested info especially in regards to your system (make/model of DVD burner).

I assume that you meant wmv instead of wma as PhotoShow does not create wma files (which are audio files and not video). If you simply burned that wmv file toa DVD as a data file then of course it will only play on your computer. You did not create a video DVD that is playable on DVD players.

Just because you can play all other software on your writer/player does not mean that it is not a writer issue.

Thank you - I used MP3's from a CD - to my hard drive - I've just spent 1 hr. on the live chat - to no avauil other than he recommended I contact the company that I bought the software from - downloaded to my hard drive - they too were unable to provide a direct link as I've been told I need to re-install the program as there are missing file extensions and once I do that - should work fine. So now, with literally hours to go, I'm up against a brick wall and will buy - once again - the program - just to re-install i - then after a week has passed - and te wedding is over - I plan on asking for a reimbursement - and needless to ay - will never bother with such a crap product again - and to boot tech advisors that - at least whom I spoke with - via phone and live chat - have shall we say...

are English language challenged.

Will alert FB pals and on YELP as well about my experience. Roxio may be a well known brand and have many good products but sorry gang, to me, Photoshow AIN'T one of them.

From what company did you buy PhotoShow? Did you not buy the downloaded program from Roxio? Why would you buy the program again? Why not just download it again?

It is too bad you just ranted instead of answering our simple questions.

What the heck is FB and YELP?
