Considering Purchase - Tivo Transfer Questions

Hello,

 

I'm considering upgrading from an older version (Toast 9) to Toast 11 and am looking for information on transferring recordings from TiVo to iTunes for playback on my Apple TV / iPhone / iPad.

 

I'm sure the capability is there to do it manually, but is it possible to set it up to do it automated? I would like to be able to:

 

(1) select a particular TV show on my TiVO

(2) have new episodes auto-transferred to my Mac

(3) have those episodes converted for Apple TV / iPhone / iPad

 

Is that possible?

You can do that for programs that are part of a series. I'd expect that you can do that with your current version as well. Select the Auto Transfers option in Tivo Transfers and follow the instructions. In Tivo Transfer preferences check the box to automatically transfer videos to Toast. In Toast Preferences click the Audio & Video tab and check that the setting for automatic TiVo transfers is how you want it. That's all.

 

If your program isn't part of a series for using the automatic transfer the rest of the automatic process will take place as soon as you manually select a program for transfer in the TiVo Transfer application.
