Help Dvd Playback

Question

I am new to Roxio VHS to DVD but I follow the instructions in the manual that came with the software. When I try to enter a title for my DVD or adjust playback, etc. I get black squares and can't do a thing. It does record on a DVD but when I play it back and watch it, not only does it play it through in its entirety but starts all over again with a second one. What am I doing wrong?

I don’t really grasp what it is that you are seeing… You can post screen captures here and that might be of great help to us ;)

The repeating video is typical of any Non-Menu burn… Most folks post here asking how to create one, so you are one step ahead of the game

We need to know the Version or Build of the software you have, look at this: Versions

Details of your PC would be useful, like you see in my signature block below.

Post back with this info and we should be able to help you out :)

Actually you are running just a little under the Minimum Specs ~ Specs Link

Still you should not be seeing that sort of results… I have run it on a 550 Mhz and while it cannot possibly capture without missing about 1/2 of what it should, it still allows menus and everything else to work.

Let's try this...

First (look in Device Manager) make sure you have your Video Card drivers/software up to date!

If that doesn’t help, Do the Prep Steps to the letter!

Then start to install of the Suite, only pick Repair when it is offered.

Let us know how that works. ;)
