Why ...?!?

gnyffe

Question

If I export a video from EyeTV to T11 it has as default Splash menu selected, I don't want any menu so how can I get T11 to remember it ??

T10 don't have that issue, it remembers my selection.

Why is the media menu selected everytime and not the options ???

As it is now I have deleted T11 and contiue to use T10.

Same here! Every time I launch Toast 11 I get the media browser with a spinning circle instead of the options. Have never and will never use the media browser. So settings are not remembered, which is nothing new really. Looks like we're all beta testing again.

Have fun, Hermie

That one surprises me, too. The previously selected menu style always was saved as the default when relaunching Toast. I'd like to see that return in an update.

Next stupid thing: When I want to edit the text T11 starts to load the complete movie so it can be editet, and it tages ages to wait for just to change the text.

Nope I will not recommend T11 to anyone, sorry. :angry2:

You can edit the menu text without clicking the Edit button. Just click on the text in the main window and you can edit it there. Also, I don't find that it takes ages to load a movie in the edit window; just a few seconds.

I am finding that it takes forever to load the video for editing when you try to use a video file.

I have many cores and 32GB of RAM.

Is toast loading as much as it can into the available memory, thus the long wait?

What is the source and specs for the video that takes so long to load?

A Video _TS folder from a DVD+R disc is the source.

I checked with a VIDEO_TS folder of a 16:9 movie and my hard drive and a 4:3 movie on a DVD-R disc (I don't have any DVD+R discs) on my 2.2 Ghz MacBook Pro. The movie on the hard drive took about 30 seconds for the editor to appear after selecting the main movie title in the media browser. The movie on the disc took about 10 seconds to appear. I believe the difference is due to the movie on the hard drive being about 7 gigs in size compared with about 4 for the one on the disc. I also added the movies to the Toast Convert window and clicked the edit button in the main window and the times were about the same.
