Create Dvd - Menus

gschepp

Question

Why are there such a limited number of menu styles? Previous versions had more.

Why isn't there a way to better modify menu styles? It doesn't do any good to relocate the movie with focus if the background requires it to be in a set position. For example the style "Web Player" has a blue background with a white cornered box and reflection. The white cornered box cannot be moved. And there is a lot of wasted space on the left that could be used for additional video links.

Why is it so difficult to move text? There is absolutely no control except in lurches at best.

Why is there such a limit on number of videos/photos to access on the main menu??

Why isn't there a way to create personal menus and the information on how to do it??

The MyDVD feature makes me wonder if Roxio is a software to continue using.

Did you install the content?

There are over 100 menus styles to choose from. Plus you can easily create your own menu style. Simply do a search for "menu styles".

Text can be easily moved around on the screen. Uncheck the "Snap objects to Grid" option under Menus

I don't know what you mean by "Why is there such a limit on number of videos/photos to access on the main menu".

Not sure about what you sayu are a limited number of menu styles in MyDVD (C2011). I have 104 different menu styles I can choose from in MyDVD. Are you sure you have installed the "Content" program cd ? it has all the extra templates you need for MyDVD, Videowave etc. ?

As far as moveing the text around on any of the menus, you should be able to change the text font size, color and once it's written on the menu, you should be able to move it around on the menu style. Just go to anyt edge on the menu and once you see the 4 small black arrows, holding down the cursor will move the text.

Creating personal menus is not an option however.

Frank you can take any menu style, modify it and save it as a new menu style. You can't of course create a menu style from scratch.

Thank you for the response. I am going to install that content file. A million thanks. I was and maybe still will be near the end of my rope but hopefully it will help.

That's what I was referring to when I suggested you can't create your own menu styles. But thanks for your claification.

I installed the content and additional styles are now available but there are only 45 in the high definition section. The standard definition has over 100. Also, only standard definition has the capability of saving a custom menu style.

By the way, the limit I was referring to was the number videos on the main menu. For the Web Player style only 4 can be placed before it wants to create another screen to start another batch of videos.
