Pharther Phurther
I am looking for information on creating a Music DVD. Has anyone made one? How many hours can you fit? Can you add a separate slide show too? I have not yet bought Toast 11 .. but I will as soon as I get some feedback that it can be done. I searched but found no info ... tsantee
This article explains making a music DVD with Toast 10 and it is the same with Toast 11. The music DVD uses the DVD spec in which there can be 99 titles each containing up to 99 tracks. (It may be 98 and 98, I'm not certain). If you choose the Dolby Digital format you shouldn't have to worry about running out of space. However, if you use the uncompressed PCM audio format there wouldn't be room for that many tracks on a disc. You can have titles on the DVD that are the music DVD format, a slide show format and a video format. The slide shows don't play audio and the music tracks don't play slides other than a title slide describing the track with the album art. The music DVD will play on any DVD player. It is not the same as a DVD-Audio disc which is a different format and requires a special DVD-Audio player.
