Menu Soundtracks

Question

Apparently Roxio has not provided the ability of previewing the music assigned to their various menus used in the Easy VHS to DVD software. If this preview does exist, please advise. I just spent most of the morning capturing, editing, and burning a single DVD with five videos of the granddaughters only to find out that the music in the menu I selected is a poor match for the DVD's content. What is one to do?

Thanks in advance for your reply...

Please tell us which version you are using.

I don't understand what you are asking or are trying to do.

Thanks for your response. The V2D version is not listed under the "About this Software" drop down, but "Build 201B23A ENU" is shown. Prior to burning a project to DVD one has the choice of selecting a Roxio supplied Menu [various graphics that will appear on the video with Movie 1, Movie 2, etc.,]. There is no where on this menu selection screen that I can find where the soundtrack that is associated with the menu can be heard in advance.

BOTTOM LINE: It is only after several hours of burning to DVD, then playing the video that one can hear the music that was used with that particular menu. I hope that this clarifies my original question.

Again, thanks for trying to help!

Regards,

It ‘clarifies’ your question, but you already found the only answer available… :(

I hope you had some DVD RW to record on

In the full Suite there is a ‘Preview’ available.

I will put that on my list for improvements but speaking bluntly, if it ever appears, it will be in the next version.

You did notice that under Support there is a “Provide Feedback to Roxio” selection???

Might be a good idea if you click that ;)

"In the full Suite there is a ‘Preview’ available" I thought I was using the "Full Suite"? Thanks for the advice...

No you are not... You are using a cutdown version that accompanies the Roxio Video Capture USB device...

It targets a simple need accordingly, copy VHS tapes onto DVD with a minimum of fuss. It can do Audio as well.

But it is far cry from the Roxio Creator 2011, 2011 Pro, or even the 2011 Special Edition (retail only) which includes the device...

In the full Suites there are around 104 Menu Styles to choose from you can add sub-menu pages as needed, use different styles on different page and even customize or make your own.
