Ipod Shuffle Audiobook Fails To Load

CaseyZ

Question

Purchased Roxio Creator 2011 to make life easier to load my own audiobooks on CD to my Apple Ipod Shuffle 4Th generation. All seems to work well until you go to play the media on the Ipod. You get the message please load using Itunes, as if nothing is on the ipod. Using Itunes to load the CD as music and it will play. Find the audiobook in Itunes and it will play on the computer only. It appears to load to the ipod but the Ipod is empty after even Itunes loads the audiobook. Audiobooks purchased from Itunes load and play normally. There must be something different about how Roxio makes the audiobooks and how Itunes does it. I have tried it both ways MP3 option in Roxio and the Apple option. Neither works for me.

Aren't the ones you purchase from iTunes loaded at that time???

I think (and I certainly do not KNOW) but you have to load it as it says so that it will know what it is and therefore what to do with it.

The audiobooks are on cd that I own. Roxio creates the audiobook file and it will not play in my apple ipod shuffle 4th generation.

Go to the Learning Center at the bottom of the Home page and then to the music/audio tab to see a video of how to do it. The instructions are there or you can read them here.
