Boy Am I Lost!

Hi Everyone!

 

First, I am new to the forums and want to say hello.

 

I bought a Sony HandyCam 2 weeks ago and immediately began creating memories. Saving them to my hard drive I notice that I get 3 files for each recording. 1 - the video that shows name and no file extention, 2 - name.mpg.modd and 3 - name.mpg.moff

 

I installed Roxio Creator 2011 3 hours ago hoping to use it for basic editing (title, etc.)

 

Upon opening the Roxio program and trying to open a video, nothing I seem to do will allow Roxio to recognize the video.

 

What am I doing wrong?

Some folks have trouble with certain file types 'mod'.

You may have to save the files in a different format or use a converter to convert them to a proper input file.
