Which Bd Drives Supported For Toast On Mac?

arkhi

Question

Hi all you Roxio Toast gurus,

  1.
  2. I have a MacBook Pro, Early 2011 model, with the Panasonic/Matshita internal UJ-868 internal DVD Superdrive.
  3. I am considering upgrading the internal optical drive to the Panasonic UJ242A internal 9.5 mm high internal Blu-ray burner drive.
  4. Does anyone, including Roxio support staff, have experience with, or can direct me to where in the support forums or on Roxio's Support web site, the list of supported Blu-ray Drives which can be used to burn and/or read BD discs?
  5. Specifically has anyone tried burning on Mac with Toast and the BD Plug-in to the Panasonic BD such as the UJ242A models?

In addition to checking with Toast users here, check with Mike at xlr8yourmac.com because he keeps a drive compatibility database. You also can search the Toast 10 forum because I've seen discussion of Blu-ray drives there.

Hello Digital Guru,

Thanks for all of the other posts I've seen looking thru the forums. But also for http://www.xlr8yourmac.com website. Great source of information.

I'm looking for that compatibility database you mention, but haven't take the time yet to find it as so much great information, keep getting distracted.

If you have a personal suggestion of success with a Blu burner that's compatible w/Toast11 (external), that would be helpful as well.

Sincerely,

Wgallagher
