Audio Cd Does Not Play In Cd Player, Only On Computer

CDforMike

Question

I created Audio CD, but it is not recognized in a CD player. I insert it in a CD player, but I get a message "no disc". It plays OK on the computer. After burning it staed "Your CD was sucessfully created"?? What am I doing wrong?

I am using Dell Studio XPS with Windows 7 and Roxio Easy CD&DVD Burning software. All settings are "default".

Look at the CD with Windows Explorer. What are the extensions on the files?

Did you perhaps use a RW CD?

I have an older Sony CD player and it gives me a message "no disk". I tried it in a new Bose CD player and it gives me a message "no disk". Iterestingly, I just tried it in a car (Hyundai Sonata) and it played normally. This is very puzzling.

I used Magnavox CD-R (80 min CD).
