medkam
Hi there, I tried a couple of times to convert mov´s from final cut studio with the new toast 11 in the format wmv. Allways after converting the result is: the convertion works, but only the half of the movie lenghts is the result on the end! I tried differend filmclips from different formats and durations. Allways the same effect. Anybody has an idea? Thank you
theoldarchiver
Could it be that you have the free version of Flip4Mac with a trial (demo) export functionality? Those exports would result in half the duration of the source file, or a fixed maximum duration, whichever comes first. http://www.telestrea...-wmv/faq.htm#16 Upgrading would change that. Benjamac
I too am having the same problem . I was trying to convert a video for my son's school project that was only 35 seconds long and it would only convert 15 seconds . I don't have Flip 4mac anymore ,any other ideas would be great since this is a feature I will need to use . Thanks

Thanks If you are trying to convert to wmv then I think the problem is the time limit established by Flip4Mac for WMV encoding unless one pays for a version of Flip4Mac. I got a 20-second wmv recording from a 40-second video because I don't have a paid version of Fli4Mac, either. Unfortunately I don't know if buying a paid version of Flip4Mac solves the problem nor do I know which paid version you'd need if that is the solution. My reading of their site suggests the Studio version for $49 may be needed. This is information we need Roxio to provide. There is nothing in the user guide. The paid version of Flip4Mac does indeed resolve this issue, it's a limitation of the trial. The challenge with their current trial limitation is that the encoder doesn't tell us it's only creating a few seconds of the video, it just goes ahead and does it telling us everything is fine.
