Roxio Won't Print

gypsy724

Question

I'm trying to print photos using Roxio. I go to "print" on the main screen, then select the photos I want to print on one sheet and when I select the "print" button in that pop-up window, another window pops up with the word "cancel" in the middle. Whether I select it or not, the printing is not executed.

I've printed test pages on my printer. Restarted. The problem seems to be with Roxio. What do I do to fix?

A little more information would help us get a better picture. Try using these guidelines for describing your problem and your system: HERE

And of course, your make & model of PRINTER ;)

Thanks. My computer info:

Lenovo Vista PC/ ideapad Y430

3 GB RAM, 32-bit operating system, Intel Pentium® Dual CPU T3200 @ 2.00ghZ 2.00 ghZ

3 GB free on my C drive, 256 GB free on my portable hard drive (where Roxio is located)

most recent update: 21 Feb 2011

Problem details:

Error code or issue: CANCEL

What kind of project were you working on: Creator 2011 photo printing.

What kinds of files were you using and where did you get them? jpg files, from my portable hard drive

Did you complete your project or did it stop at a certain point in the process? I got all the way to the desired printing window, adjusted settings accordingly, hit "print" but got a "cancel" window instead.

Have you ever successfully completed the task that you are contacting us about? No. I just purchased the Roxio Creator 2011

Did you make any changes to your computer recently? (new applications, updates, etc) If so, what? No.

Basically, I'm just trying to execute a simple print function. The print window comes up, I add my photos, select what size photos I want to print, the paper size, etc. and when I hit print the only indication I get is "cancel". Not even an error code or info. The printer works, I ended up giving up on Roxio and using another (free) photo printing program and printed my photos just fine. I would like to be able to use the program that I paid for though.

Your help is greatly appreciated. :)

It is possible that your main drive is the problem. I don't know how big your main drive is, but it is incredible that your system even works with only 3 GB of free space. Get a new hard drive, put your OS on the new hard drive, then put Roxio on your new hard drive, and you should have no problems.

There have been posts on these forums, that mentioned problems when the software was installed on any other drive/partition, outside of the C: drive.

I have been working all afternoon, printing out photos from PhotoSuite, and I haven't had any problems.

I agree with GPB, unless some of your numbers are typos!

Installing Creator on an external is really asking for problems. A Video Suite like Roxio is VERY complex software more on the order of a 3D CAD program than something simple like a spreadsheet or database program.
