Extract Audio From Video

neeej

Question

I have used my camera to capture some songs ('twas the only recorder I had with me), and would now like to take just the sound and make a playable CD therefrom. How can I do that? (I am very new to Creator 2011)

NO, not from a video file. You can extract the audio directly from a video in Video Wave also.

Why can you just extract it as the wav file -- uncompressed audio (suitable for just about anything) and convert it using one of the audio converters/burners to the compressed mp3 files format?

Unless you have a very slow computer, the conversion/burn takes only a few seconds and you'll have the options for the quality of the mp3 file.

Just for imformation, and no one asked ----

If you have a DVD, you can extract the audio from the DVD using the Create Audio project application. You have the ability to select the format. I did not try this from an ISO (image file) because that would take longer than the above.
