I was going to answer your question but from the image you posted, it appears that you are trying to burn an AVCHD disc. That was something important that you left out ! Is that correct? That error appears randomly and no one knows the cause.

Did you follow this process (link)?

Just to make sure, please answer what you have not answered before.

If you really had Roxio Creator 2010 then there was no need to upgrade as it is not a Legacy product. Maybe you are referring to Easy Medya Creator 10 which is 4 years/versions old and is a Legacy product.

How long in time is your project? Have you tried burning to a image files or a folder set instead of directly to DVD? Then use Video Copy & Convert to burn those to the DVD.

Why not try 2 quick tests…

1. New Project, accept defaults.

Add 2 still pictures.

Burn to Folder or ISO file, as Walt indicated…

2. If that works OK, delete the Folder or File then load your Project.

Burn to Folder or ISO file.

What happens?

yes, i had easy media creator 10. after speaking to customer service, they were unable to help me. they stated it was a legacy product and that i had to upgrade.

the time on my project is 15 minutes. i am not familiar with the process of burning to an image file/folder then using the video copy & convert. can you walk me through that or point me in the direction that i can get that information. then, i will give that a try.

as stated in my initial posting, i am using roxio creator 2011. (using Vista)

it is version 1.3.166 SP1; 5.0.0.0 (retrived from the help as you requested)

i was not sure how to burn to iso image, but i did burn it to a folder and that

was no problem. i did it first with the 2 still images, then with the entire

project. i don't understand how to proceed using the convert & copy to burn it

to dvd. i am not familiar with that process. am i supposed to convert first or

copy first then convert??

Thanks for confirming that, all this talk of “10”, “2010” and “2011” was a little confusing…

Now that you have a Folder that is all you need!

Open Video Copy and Convert. Choose the Copy DVD tab:

Point to your VIDEO_TS folder:

And Burn:

Give it a try and let us know ;)
