Can't Convert Tivo Files On Newly Installed Program Or On The Old One It Replaced!

MarciaJ

Question

I had been able to convert my Tivo files to play on DVD player, until 2 days ago! I even went out and purchased new Sony DVD disks and upgraded to Creator 2011, convert section still locks up and says Windowns is trying to solve. My DVD burner works, I tested it. I don't know what I can do next

More info about my problem:

I have been saving and converting my Tivo files for over 6 months, same Gateway (11 months old) computer, 1 Gig memory, hard drive only half full. no other programs running when I run Roxio. In the morning it worked, in the afternoon it didn't! It pulled up my Tivo files, but did not show the actualy files, whole box then greyed out and window came up that Windows was trying to repair problem. no other error codes ever came up but Roxio locked up. I have rebooted, changed disks, let it sleep all night, tried old tivo files that worked before, FOUND THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY LAPTOP IN THE MORNING! We have Charter internet service in CA. No problems from it. No announcements from Tivo. My Tivo is 3 years old, Series ll. this morning I went to Costco and bought and installed Roxio Creator 2011 and bought Sony R- DVDs, installed and tried, same problem. It doesn't make any sense! I am very far from being a computer expert but have used computers for over 25 years now! Started with a Commodore, I am getting old now but far from senile, at 74 I still use computer daily. Shop & bank online for years. old Roxio did creat a DVD of MP3 files for me without any problems.
