Converting Two Part Programs

I'm trying to convert some of my video collection for use on my new iPad 2. I drag the video files to the Convert window and for two part episode programs the selection window appears with the option to add Part 1 or Part 2 when adding these file to be converted both end up being converted as Part 1. I'm unable to convert any two part program using Toast Titanium 11. Running OS 10.6.6 on a mid 2010 iMac with 4 GB RAM. Any solution to this problem?

I'm a bit confused by your description. Is the source from a video DVD or VIDEO_TS folder or from something else? How are you adding the videos to Toast? Is the "selection window" you're referring to the one that has the video at the top and a play bar beneath that allows you to select start and end points?

 

My experience is when there are multiple entries in the Toast Convert window, each one is converted as an individual file. I don't know how to do it the way you're doing it.

Yes the "Selector Box". The problem was that I selected the Part 1 episode added it to the Convertor and then converted it, then I dragged the Video_TS files again then selected Part 2 and added it to the Convertor this converts Part 1 again even when Part 2 is selected.

 

I solved this by selecting both Part 1 & Part 2 and adding them at the same time, this results in converting both Part 1 and Part 2.

After more experimenting with converting video files with Toast Titanium 11 I think the inability to convert the second (either part 2 or the second program of a two program DVD) is a bug. The only way to convert only part 2 of a two part program is to convert both part 1 and part 2 at the same time.

You might also try accessing the part 2 video using the Toast Media Browser to add it to the main Toast window. Place the VIDEO_TS folder on the desktop and choose DVD in the list beneath the media browser's Video tab. There you should see the individual titles contained in the the DVD. Drag the title that is part 2 to the main window. This should select just it.
