11.0.1 Update Does Not Work

Hello,

 

I have brought and online version of Toast 11 from the Toast site and today I encountered that it wanted to do an upgrade. I have activated the upgrade system and it goes through to the installer (after the 81Mb download) and then tried to install but at the end it syas there is an error and the installation failed.

 

I have tried this several times and it just wants to keep downloading the Update.

 

Is there a known issue?

Is your Toast 11 Titanium folder located at the root level of your Applications folder? If not, move it there before doing the update.

I tried about 10 times with the "automatic" update the software suggests as you go about your business. After making sure that every folder had permission, and still getting no joy, I went to the website, downloaded the update from there, and tried again. That worked the first time.

Hi

 

If you rename your Toast Titanium file, (ex to Toast 11 Titanium), you would encounter the permission error during update.

If you install the app as Root, it will update just fine.

Turn on Root and login and install both the app and the update. It will work just fine.
