I'm noticing a pretty significant darkening and softening of the image that appears on TV when hooking up my PS3 through the Roxio Game Capture device, not unlike what happens when trying to use a cheap splitter. Messing with the display options doesn't seem to have much of an effect; I've followed the Roxio instructions to a T, enabling only 480i, 480, 720p, and 1080i, to no avail.
The image is crystal clear when hooking up the PS3 to the TV via component cables directly, and swapping the packaged cables for my own didn't make any difference either. The TV detects the video as 720p in all cases.
Does anyone have any advice? Is the video quality degradation normal when using a GameCap, or perhaps is my GameCap defective?
